Why I use Cobra well thats a big question.
While setting up our company here in New Zealand we were looking for a product that would meet all of our needs now and in the future.
The choice to move towards Cobra was always heavily weighted towards the product but more towards the great support that I was getting from Cobra's CEO Scott Smith.
Even tho I had not purchased anything at that point Scott still took the time out for me sometimes video calling for over an hour to discuss the current uses of the product as well as other options in the pipeline.
While we were doing this we were also looking at more traditional systems such as Fire One and Night Hawk etc but for some reason I felt more drawn to the capability's and support that Cobra offered.
We began by buying 3 older units and a audio box off a friend. We began to experimented making very small pyro musical displays as a test before scaling up.
What we found was when we used Finale Fireworks we were able to design and export a display very quickly onto the Cobra Firing System and be able to fire it by the push of a button.
When it came to other systems this became allot harder and again pushed me towards the Cobra system.
Once we were satisfied with the outcome of the experiment we acquired a display on the Rotorua Lake front that once designed would require 50 modules. So we again contacted Scott Smith and purchased another 47 modules this allowed us to compete the display.
When we had setup the display we did run into some RF issues due to being next to the airport and with all the concert gear but having the dish and the booster soon fixed this issue. which has now been fixed with the new Mesh system which is fantastic and will be covered on another Blog.
The System in My eyes is one of the best systems on the market simply because at the end of the day its simple compact and wireless.
The only thing we are needing for our displays now is some larger modules so we are looking into the 36m as we speak.
We also require the 2 wire link system were wireless is out of the questions such as the Auckland Skytower with all those satellites up there theirs no way the wireless will work.
But all in all the product is extremely sound and with the many displays we do year round we have not had any issues so far.
A fantastic system and a fantastic crew to build your future with.
If I could recommend any system out there for large or small Firework displays It would definitely be the Cobra Firing System.
